I'm still in school working on my degree and am looking for a job (either part time or full time) that pays well (at least $10+ an hour/ around $30,000 or so a yr.) It needs to be in the North Dallas area close to Addison,Richardson,or Plano. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

  1. When you ask a question like this there are only two basic kinds of answers you are going to get:

    1.  Responses (like this one) telling you that you are going to get a bunch of spam about scams.

    2.  Spam.  (Some of the spammers may post unkind remarks about this but that's OK with me.  They are still spam.)

  2. Well a $10/hr job = $20,800/year.  So if you want something around $30k/year you're going to have to look at something around $15+/hr.

Try the office/administrative field if you like that.  You might not get exactly what you want if you don't have any experience in that field.  But try Craigslist.org.

    Good luck!

  3. If you have some special skill that makes you worth that amount to an employer, look for a job that would need those skills.

  4. If you are a fully matriculated college student, your schedule of courses will probably not give you a lot of time to work. You could speak to your guidance counselor and ask about a job opening available (possibly something that would give you experience in something you are majoring in). If you have good typing and computer skills, try the college office. You could work in the cafeteria in your college. This job would help pay for some of the tuition and textbooks. Another thought is the college bookstore. Sometimes they need help with someone at the cash register or stocking shelves or cleaning up at the end of the day. This job will not pay much, but it will give you some money to help out with bills, while you will stay on campus and save that extra money to have to pay for additional transportation money to work somewhere else after attending the classes. If you would like, you could work in an office, like for a doctor or hospital. This type of job would pay decently, but the hours may conflict with your course schedule. Good luck.
