Need help finding a place for a wedding?

We really want it in a church but most of the churches around here are telling us that we either need to be members or they won't marry me there because I already have children. I don't really want to do an outdoor wedding because you can never count on the weather and I hate the idea of getting married in a pole barn or similar structure. I'm from central Indiana. Any ideas???

  1. We got married in central Indiana as well, we kind of had the same problem that you did, only we happened to know someone who attended the church that we wanted to get married in, and since we are family, they allowed it.  I'm not sure where in central Indiana you are, but in Muncie, there is Union Chapel (on Broadway past the mall), you have to go through counseling, but anyone can get married there.  They have a chapel and other rooms.  My advice is to keep trying different churches.  Many Methodist churches are usually fairly lenient.  Sorry you are having this problem.  Also, if can have it at the Muncie Horizion Convention Center and have the reception there as well, however, it can be a bit more expensive.  The Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie also has been used for weddings.  I'm not sure the price for Horizion or Cornerstone, but they are options.  Sorry, I don't really have anything outside of Muncie.

Everything will work out!! Good Luck!

P.S.  I've got a person who I know who does fairly cheap wedding cakes (about $1/peice I think) near Muncie if you need that, and they are beautiful and are by far the best cake I've EVER had!! :-)

We got our tuxes at Fords in Muncie and our bridesmaids dresses at Macy's.
