Question:

Need help finding a tasteful dress for a busty bridesmaid?

I am getting married next year, and I am having an issue with my bridesmaids.

One of my best friend has massive b***s, and I really don't want four feet of cleavage next to me in pictures on my big day.

Not only do they draw A LOT of attention, they tend to wiggle their way out when left to their own devices.

I am looking for ideas for a neckline or style that will not only be flattering to many sizes and shapes (all four girls are COMPLETELY different shapes), but that will also look good.

I don't really want something that looks like a TURTLENECK, but every style I look at is wayyyy too risque.

Any suggestions at all?

  1. Ok, I don't know why anyone is saying that you are acting like a bridezilla as I think your concern is completely legit.

You have a couple of choices.  You can pick a color and maybe even a color and fabric and have the girls pick out their dresses in different styles that work for each of their figures (though sometimes I see those and the dresses just look cheap, so be careful on what you choose).

However, if you want a dress that will work for everyone and speaking as a rather busty gal myself, here's some suggestions of what won't make her look like her 'friends' are walking down the aisle before her:

A halter dress - surprising, but it is quite flattering on a large bust line and also holds the 'friends' in well

A dress with a sweetheart neckline, which if you don't want strapless you can have it in a sleeveless variety

A dress with a bateau neckline is also flattering on all shapes and is a little more on the understated elegance side.

Here's a site that has the different necklines for a visual:

  2. Well I have some pretty massive b***s myself and I can assure you that with the right fitting dress, they stay pretty covered.  I wore a strapless wedding gown for my wedding, anything with straps usually works, you can try a higher neckline on a dress, like something that reaches the collarbone or haulter, though I hate haulters becuase I do find them hard to stay in and they make my shoulders look wider then they are.  Also, stop looking and start trying.  a dress that looks risque may actually be just fine when she gets it on.  you can never tell until your in it.

  3. These all have high necklines and are still really s**y and pretty. They would flatter all shapes:

  5. Yes.  I suggest you choose a color/shade and possibly fabric, and have your bridesmaids select their own silhouette of dress.  They will know what works best for them.  Congratulations.

  6. Keep the lines of the dress classic and simple -

  7. The truth is if she has "massive b***s" a high neck line will just make them look bigger.  take a look at some of these for ideas.

  8. ahaha.. i sense a bridezilla.. LMFAO.

as for dresses.. i let my bridesmaids pick out their dress.. i told them the color and took them to the dress store.. had them try on the dresses and then gave them the ok.. if you dont want alot of cleaveage.. go with a straight across strapless..

the halter top type is also very flattering on many body types.. either way.. go to the dress store ahve them all try on the dresses and that way you can see what looks best.. just set a day aside where you can meet or take some one day and some another day.

    good luck.

p.s. relax a little.. no one likes a bridezilla.

  9. I also sense a bridezilla lol. Its ok, I've had a couple of bridezilla moments myself, but my wedding is in 7 weeks, not next year! I agree with the first poster. Many brides are now choosing a colour and fabric and allowing the bridemaids to pick their own style of dress. Something that is righ for their body shape and personality. Maybe you should think about doing this yourself?
