Need help finding an equation in slope-intercept form ?

The question asks to find an equation in slope-intercept form for a line with the following..

x-intercept = -6

y-intercept = -3

  1. y=mx+b

    *m= the slope*

    *b= the y- intercept

    y=m(-6)+(-3)

    i think that is right but idk for sure

  2. slope-intercept form looks like x=y-intercept+slope. you need to find the slope.

  3. Line from (-6,0) to (0,-3)

    Slope is =-1/2   (-3-0)/(0--6)

    y=-x/2 - 3
