The fridge is leaking all over. It didn't start until it started getting real humid and hot out. leaks from the bottom right mostly and now it's causing the tiles to lift up. Inside it's still cold as ever. I don't know where the drip pan is, as we feel under and can't see it, thinking perhaps it overflowed... How can I resolve this. We talked to a guy who repairs them and he said that if it was about to die on us, it wouldn't still cool the way it does. What should we do? I can't find the diagram for the fridge, only an airconditioner... I gotta resolve this, I can't afford a new fridge. HELP Please.

  1. you can get a deep cookie sheet or roasting pan and put it under there make sure its close to the compressor so the heat from the compressor evaporates the water

  2. If the water is coming from the bottom and not leaking from the inside and out from the door the water is probably getting to the pan underneath but is more than it can evaporate.

Maybe you door seals are cracked allowing excessive humidity into the refrigerator and adds to the normal amount that it would get rid of.

If water is leaking on the inside then the drain in the freezer section is plugged.

Remove everything from the freezer and remove panels that cover the cooling coils. The drain will be below these coils if it is a frost free type fridge.

  3. It looks like the drain pan sits on top of the compressor. If it's plastic then there's a possibility that it has cracked from age and heat. An exploded view diagram is attached. Good luck.
