Does anyone know of a florist, photographer, and/or videographer in Southern california that is in the Los Angeles/San Gabriel Valley/Inland Empire area that is good but inexpensive at the same time. I am getting married next summer and don't know where to start looking. Thanks for all your help!

  1. Your going to have a tough time finding affordable vendors in the Socal area.

I would suggest when you do find vendors that you are interested in make sure they are aware that you are receiving multiple quotes from at least 3 vendors in the same field. If you really love one vendors work but they are above your price quote how much one of the cheaper vendors offered you and ask if they can work with you to lower the cost.

Most vendors are willing to negotiate if you just ask...

  2. I would check out a few of these web sites.

    www.perfectweddingguide.com

    www.theknot.com

    www.brides.com

I personally liked theknot.com because it lists vendors according to their price.

    Good Luck!

  3. your best chance is to look online for local vendors and email each what you are looking for and a price quote.  then go from there.

Vendors outside major cities may be cheaper, but consider a travel fee.

You can hire a photography student to save $$ for a local art school

  4. I'm getting married at the end of this month in Fallbrook. Last year when we were searching for our vendors, we came across some very nice, professional and affordable vendors. I found most of them from theknot.com. We interviewed a lot of people. Here is the final list:

Photographer: Tuan Nguyen www.tuannguyenphoto.com (in Pasadena)

Videographer: Greg at Dakota-River Media dakotarivermedia.com (in San Gabriel)

florist: Sheri at www.murrietaflowergirl.com (She's in Murrieta)

    Good luck.

  5. go online to www.weddingwire.com

    good luck

  6. you can save money by doing the flowers and decorations yourself and contact a art school and get a photo student to shoot the pics freelance....web search things for ideas....

  7. Just start looking at places and getting prices.  Go on the internet or check the yellow pages.  Also, you could just have friends and family take pictures and videos.  The flowers for my wedding weren't really expensive.  Just don't go overboard.  The flowers don't last long so don't spend a ton of money on them.
