My mom's boyfriend(he is a druggie and has a past record) brough home a 1988 Honda. I remember the license plate cuz his "boss" (who was a druggie and had a really bad past record) drove the exact same car. My mom's boyfriend said his friend wants to sell it to my mom for only 300 dollars. I think the car is stolen, I need to find out if it is or not WITHOUT calling the police. I have already gone on websites and they ALL want to charge for the records. I need a FREE way to get the info. please help me. I already have the VIN number.

does anyone know of a site or something that i can find out if the car is stolen or not??? please help. thank you

  1. Look in the car for the car registration, see who's name is on it.

If it is your moms's BF or his boss's name, then it probally isn't stolen.

  2. the police? they have every car on record that ahs been stolen, or was reported stolen.

  3. Check with Vehix or Carfax.

Then make your Mom get rid of her lowlife friend.

Unless he's her supplier then you should make him disappear  one way or another.

  4. I need to know why you are not protecting your mom?

Is your mom a druggie too?

    If not call the police.

    If yes, call the police.

By not calling the police you are in fact enabling the drug use.

I am a former drug user but will always be an addict. The best thing that ever happened to me was when my wife left me and called the police. They had nothing on me but that was enough to wake me up and really see how far I have fallen.  I went into treatment and I have been clean  since.  That was many years ago.  Last year my wife came back to me. I am truly blessed. but although clean I will always be an addict.

  5. if he's a druggie then just ask the police. if it is stolen he'll be arrested, he'll never know you had anything to do with it and he'll be out of your mom's life for 3-5.

  6. It's a car, not your mom.  Call the police and ask.  You can do this anonymously from a phone booth, but they'll want to know where the car is if it's been stolen.  They can tell within a few minutes.  Forget the license plate--look through the front window, down low at dash level, on the driver's side.  Copy the VIN (vehicle identification number) and give that to the police.  You can't do this without going to the police, and this is the least you can do for the person who was victimized by the theft of their car.
