First Question: Is it really true that you need to go in Washington D.C. to renew your passport if you live in Florida?

Second Question: Do minors have to have a personal appearance to renew their passport?

  1. no,  if you are not a US citizen? most foreign embassies are located in Washington DC, but you will have consulates (usuallly) located within the US to help you with consular services.

  2. I think you can go to your local courthouse or maybe post office. Why would you have to go to DC? That's ridicules!

    The instructions are on the renewal forms. Just read instructions.

  3. first, it depends where you are a citizen from (Country)? If you are born in the US most post offices and Court Houses you may apply for them there other Countries Vary.  Please indicate what Country you are from or where you are writing from. And yes minors must be present with both parents if under 16 if your US ctzn.
