  1. Yeah it is cold especially seen as your used to warm climates. The average temperature during the day is 14.8 Degrees in june (58.6 F) although im sure this could range from as low as 10 C (50F) to as high as 20C (68F). During the night the average temp for june is 7.9C (46.2F) which could range from 2C (35.6F) to 12C (53.6). One point to note- lately in East Australia and New Zealand the temps have been higher than normal- so dont just take warm clothing take some light tops/ Pants aswell.

Yeah you will nead a coat too and an umbrella! its a rainy place.

Hope you have a beautiful Holiday- i am sooo jealous of you lol i really wanna go to New Zealand lol ok have a safe and fun trip!!!

  2. temperatures can vary between 50 and 65 F which is 10 to 18 celsius. it all depends on the weather system at the time.

If you intend going out on the Hauraki gulf or up Mt Eden or Rangitoto then you may need a coat as the southwest wind can be chilly. having said that i hope you get some nice calm fine days. Enjoy your stay.

  3. The trick is layers. You can put stuff on, and take it off, to adjust your need for warmth. A shirt (and perhaps a thermal t-shirt), an insulating layer, and a waterproof outer layer.  Auckland is not that cold.

  4. It will prolly rain alot so you will need a rainjacket, and an umbrealla.. It dosent snow in auckland only ice on windsheilds and all.. but no snow.. its a different type of cold then in the states.. Good luck

  5. You will need to take a few jumpers but auckland isnt that cold

  6. Let's face it, Auckland is frickin freezing in June, especially if you are from warmer climes.

    You WILL NEED an umbrella.

This can be bought cheaply enough at the airport (or across the road at a shop called The Warehouse). Otherwise, a raincoat and windbreaker type jacket.

Also warm things for night and mornings. Layers are good to peel off on the occasional warm afternoon.  It's not usually cold enough for thermals, but they don't take much room to pack, so if you have any I would take say a thermal vest.

  7. Auckland normally has a mild winter and you just need to bring a shirts and jerseys, and anything else you may need can be picked up reasonably cheaply at the likes of the Warehouse.
