I'm desperate for help,I'm writing a parody of Death Note-Life Note.But I need a little help.

Okay,you all know the part where Watari was still wearing that big trench coat,and later the task force formed?The giant group of detectives:was that the FBI,CIA,LAPD,what?I know it was Japanese (I don't know if they have those organizations,but....),but if it had been American or something,what would it have been?
