Hey guys, I was discharged in 03' for hypertension, and got an RE code of 3 I'm 25 now and am trying to get back in...I took the physical and passed but someone won't sign my waiver. There is a claim I had a seizure but that's not true...I have provived all medical documents...and got a clean bill of health from my doc with letter and such. I have since wrote a letter to my congressman to see if he can help...is there anything else I can do???

  1. Submit a DD-293 to the Army's Discharge Review Board and request on that form that you wish to change your characterization of your reentry code to whatever the admin code is.  I'm no pencil pusher so I don't know half of what my discharge paper is except what I can read and understand!  But the above I stated is correct...get that form from the VA (DD-293), walk-in or go online.

  2. Take it as a sign.  Then go take a nice swim in the ocean, go out dancing, go to AC for the weekend or Vegas.  Do one of the million things that those boys in the war wish they were doing.  Be careful what you ask for in life, you just might get it.

  3. HOW DID THEY FIND OUT THAT U HAD HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?AND EVEN IF YOU WANTED TOO, COULD'NT YOU JUST BE PUT ON MEDS INSTEAD OF BEING DISCHARGED?

  4. try the Navy

  5. Don't just write the letter - make an appointment with your Congressman- keep making phone calls until you get the appointment. Also you have 2 Senators too... use them too.

    Squeaky wheel gets the grease...

  6. Can't you go reserves and then turn around and go active duty in six months???

  7. Write to Mc Cain. <}:-})
