I just bought a 2003 used car and it's in perfect condition looks brand new for 4,000. I couldn't pass it up... the only problem is the person before must have smoked b/c it has that smoke/musty smell. I've tried air freshners and such and it just seems to mask the smell. Is there anything i can do to get it out that such as detailing, etc that won't cost me a fortune?

  1. Try the product in the link below.  This is one of the products that a professional detailer would use.

If this doesn't work, you may want to contact a professional auto detailer.

  2. carpet cleaner and debreze

  3. Shampoo the interior seat rugs etc. Auto part stores sell do it your self cleaner or go to a detail shop just for the shampoo cleaning.

  4. I've tried so many scented air fresheners for cars and after the fragrance goes away, the smell is still there.   Finally tried a totally unscented carbon odor eliminator called Innofresh auto odor eliminator that I bought at Murrays auto.   Works fantastic and got rid of musty and smoky smell within just a couple of days.

the manufacturer is Innofresh Products at www.innofresh.com
