Need help getting video to show on computer....?

Question

I installed a firewire port on my computer recently and it recognizes it and everrything. But the trouble im having is with getting an image to pop up when Im getting video from my camera in Windows movie maker! The screen is just blank and it says it has captued no video but the playback and all the buttons work in the movie maker to control my camera. Can anyone help me?? Thanks a million

Also some computers might not play MPEG4 you may need to change your capture format on your camera
