Need help........girl stuff?

ok i haven'tt had my period yet, but I've been testing out tampons. Usually they just come out looking like they did when they went in. But today as i pulled one out it was unfolded and had yellowish-creamish colored stuff on it. I know this may be normal but my quession is how soon do you think I will get my period??

Please help!
