Here's what I have going on. I would like to purchase a new car that was driven by the dealers and has 5900 miles on it...yes, it classifies as new and I get all of the new car incentives. It's MSRP Price is $35,746 and the invoice is $29,656. I feel that the vehicle should have depreciated more since it has left the lot. What price should I ask for and how should I haggle the dealer to give me what I want. The vehicle doesn't have a feature that I want, so how can I use that to my advantage.

  1. NO- it will be used.  Anything in my state with over 1500 miles is used.  The old law was to 200 miles.  I will promiss you it will be a used vehicle.  So only pay used vehicle price.  The dealer does not care if it does not have options you want, the car is worth what the car is worth.

  2. what kind of car is it?

some cars have high demand where invoice would be a good deal, whereas an unpopular car would sell for invoice without being a demo.

If its a foriegn car then invoice minus the rebates is probably a decent deal, maybe get them to throw in some oil changes or other services.
