Question:

Need help hitting the ball off the tee?

When I hit the ball off the tee (whether with a 3 wood or driver) it hits the ground about 3 inches in front of the tee. Is it getting too much top spin on it, or what else would be causing it to hit the ground immediately after the tee with every swing?

  1. You're obviously topping the ball. Maintain the same spine angle during your swing and keep your shoulders at the same level during your swing and that will resolve your problem.

  2. Really hard to tell without seeing your swing, but it sounds like the ball is too far forward in your stance (toward your left foot if you are right handed).  You club is on the way up and is just catching the ball with the sole of the club.  Try moving the ball back in your stance so that you catch it with the face of the club more at the bottom of the swing.  Or maybe just tee it up a lot higher than you are now.

  3. Try to get under the ball more but not to much or youll hit fly balls.

  4. i think your problem is that you are hitting down on the ball. your backswing shouldnt go out but needs to go parrallel to ur neck. on your downswing dont swing from the top down but from the side

  5. what the problem is that you are bringing your head up to early and my sugestion for you is to keep your head down for 5 seconds after you make contact with the ball then you can bring your head up. hope this will work for you.

  6. just raise your left hip a little as you swing thru the ball

it will flatten out your swing.     try it
