i got a 1000watt sony amp (xm-2165GTX). and i got one 10" 400 watt sony sub and one 12" visonik 600watt sub. in the boxes there hooked up positive to positive and negitave to negative. but when i put it positive to positve and negitative to negitive on the amp the bass goes way down but when i hook one sub up to positive to positive and negative to negative and the other sub positive to negitave and negative to positve the volume goes normal/louder? why is this and the bass isnt thatt good as in i dont feel it in the back of seat is there other ways of hooking them up?

  1. First never run two different size subs together not a good decision.especially different brands..thats why when you run 1 it sounds ok.? subs may be different ohms also you do not want to run them at 8 ohm.your ideal ohms is 1 or 4 . go to rockford fosgate woofer wizard and it has all the svc and dvc sub hook ups series parael.               http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp    this will help you. also i agree with first poster not being rude or degaarding but sony sucks so does visonic.very cheeply built..id craigslist them get what you can get an inexpensive pioneer deck.a good 500 to 1000 watt amp and a good sub.crunch subs are becoming very popular these days and are not that expensive. a nice hifonics amp and a 12in crunch sub would fire you up good? If you would like i personally know wyatt a guy who selld for maxxsonics. he does deals at cost not retail. hes honest and you can ask anyone on www.carstereo.com hes there also.he has a site but cant remember it..u can email him at sicaudio@msn.com    .hes great to work with..worth a look.
