I have several photos of wildflowers I found in the Nevada wilderness but have no clue as to their names. I uploaded them to flickr so if you happen to know what they are, common names would be great, please let me know!

  1. DSC00901 might be Plantago Lanceolata, or "Ribwort Plantain", but I can't see the leaves.

DSC00972 is a Violet.  It somewhat resembles Viola douglasii (a California species), but I don't think it is.

DSC01325, DSC01326, DSC01327, DSC01328, and DSC01329 are all Lupins, though I don't know what sort.  Lupins are hellish to identify, so I wish you luck.

There were a half dozen or so of a very nice thistle that I have seen in California, but I can't tell you anything more.

The last four look like an Evening Primrose (Oenothera), but I don't know the species.

DSC00961, DSC00960, and DSC00900 look somewhat like a hawthorn, but the flowers are wrong, so they're probably a close relative.

DSC01335 it's hard to tell, but it looks as though it could be a Hypericum.

  2. Mertensia ___    ___ Bluebells.  17&18yellow wild violet.  24indian paintbrush?  34thistle. 42primrose?
