Need help in getting Ration Card in Bangalore?

Can anyone please tell me How to apply for a New Ration card in Bangalore, If i apply how many days it will take to getit ????

Go to the Food and Civil Supplies department with all documents relating to your domicile at Bangalore, apply in the prescribed form and the food inspector will visit your place and report back to the department. The photos and requisite details, will be asked for. You will be issued a ration card based on your income.

Try the Corporator of y our area or the MLA of your area with a recommendation letter for the issuance of the ration card.

If you take care of every officer, it might take about two months(maximum) to get the ration card.
