I checked out your site, its great.:)

I also checked out your competition in the search engine market to see where you can improve your site.

1.  Sitemap

I noticed your site doesnt have a sitemap.  While this may just seem like a bonus or navigational aid to your potential members, a sitemap actually helps search engine spiders index your site.  More indexed pages will help you rank better in search engine results.

2.  Site Structure

I also noticed that your competitor's site structure is much more friendly to users.  Basically, their homepage is more informative than yours.  What you can do here is to improve your site structure so that potential members can see what's in your site with the minimum of clicks (i found no links in your homepage that would provide more info on what your site offers aside from the about us and FAQ section).  Your competitor provided a more indepth tour of their site.

Also, site structure is an important component in achieving high search engine rankings as it increases the relevance of your site.  This is even more effective if your site structure incorporates important generic keywords that will increase its relevance to searches.  Your competitor uses keywords in their site structure like sanskrit matrimonial or muslim matrimonial while your site doesnt.

3.  Content:  

I noticed that you don't have much content aside from what is written in your about us page and FAQ.  People looking for partners using search engines basically look for advice articles first before they register in such sites.  Your site doesnt have content like this.

Relevant content for your site is important for several reasons.  First it increases your credibility and utility for your potential members as it helps them even before they join your site.  This will encourage return traffic as well as referrals or links.

Secondly, search engines places much important in content and the keywords incorporated in them when determining the relevance and the rank of your site.  By having relevant content on your site, you increase your search engine rankings making it easier for people to find your site.  Think of content as roads you are building to your site.

4.  Backlinks

Try looking for indian (or your target market's nationality) bloggers writing about love and relationships in the internet.  These are great sources for backlinks as their readers are sure to have more interest in your services.

Try joining niche relationship forums too and contributing your views.  If the community there finds you a helpful and informative member, you can easily promote your services there.

Remember, you have to show people that you know what you are talking about and that you can indeed help them in their quest to find their perfect mate before they trust your services.  Content is a great way to build this.
