  1. Buy attention to the original point of the shock absorbers  shoes is important, Resolved the heel pain problem , running up a lot of comfort..For example, the NIKE AIR PAD,ADIDAS the ADIPRENE, ASICS the GEL, MIZUNO, such as the WAVE.I see them in them in this websit:http://www.bz-trade.com ,hope it can help you .

  2. Hi again, Seek,

Sorry to hear you're continuing to have fit problems with your shoe, but I'm glad you took back the Brooks Beast, which I thought you said was comfortable.  Those guys are crazy to put you in that shoe if you arches are so incredibly high!

I recommend that you look at the web sites of the running shoe manufacturers to familiarize yourself with the shoes they have designed specifically for high-arched underpronators like yourself.

Also ask on bulletin boards like runnersworld.com and others for advice from other guys with super-high arches for the running shoes they find most comfortable.  Be sure to explain that your arch is so unusually high that your sole doesn't even touch the surface of anything you've tried, including off the shelf arch supports.

My guess is that you've probably been trying arch supports from your local drug store?  Instead, I recommend going to an athletic store (like Fleet, LOL, but maybe you want to try someplace new) and looking at Superfeet (Orange model is for high arched guys, but if it isn't high enough for your arch, you may want to pay extra for a customized pair of Superfeet--see the website below) and Spenco, which may offer the best combination of a self-customized fit at a reasonable price.  With the Spencos I've highlighted for you below, you drop them in boiling water when they are new and then mold them to fit each foot, so you can really jack them up to fit your too-high arch.

Long term, if you find neither Superfeet or Spenco can support your high arches, you will probably want to visit a podiatrist for custom orthotics.  A good podiatrist should also be able to make some good recommendations for a running shoe for your high arch.

Since you've been exchanging the shoes you buy at Fleet, telephone the store and ask to speak to the manager, then make an appointment with him/her.  Tell the manager over the phone the problems you've had, and that you wanted to support their store rather than buying on the internet because you wanted good advice, tailored to your own foot type, but you've really been disappointed with the store's recommendations.  S/he will know they've goofed if you tell them that you were sold the Beast and you've got a super-high arch!

Once you get a pair of shoes you like from this store, you'll probably want to look for another store next time, unless there's nothing closer.  Looked at it differently, even though they've repeatedly steered you in the wrong direction, it sounds like they've been good about taking back the shoes you've been wearing, which they probably won't be able to resell as new, right?  So if you end up happy in the end, maybe you'll want to still return to them long term--if you can finally find someone there who knows what they are talking about!!!!

    .

As I said before, if you are still having problems, just drop me a note and I'll try to help you some more.

    Good luck!
