Need help on GIMP please......?

Question

I just installed GIMP, and trying to explore it. When I installed GIMP, it has 2 boxes. One box is the the tools on the left, and the other box is the one with history or layer or something, it was on the right. Somehow I clicked the layer box off, and now I can't find it. I don't know where to find it or have it on again. Can someone please show me? And what does the box called anyway? Can you help me get that box back? thanks

P.S. And if you know any link or website that is tutor for GIMP, can I have the link too please. Thanks
