Need help on Major. I want to work with GOVT?

I am getting a degree in POLS SCIENCE emph. in International Relations.. My ideal job would be to work in a 3rd world country.. (NGO, IGO, WHO or UN) I would like to also work in a different country (France ... Turkey... Middle East) as an Immgration officer.. Does anyone know if I am heading in the right path.. and or how I could establish more info on working as an immigration officer..what is the correct job title for that?

Political Science degrees are typically more for people who want to go into politics.  It sounds like a degree in Public Administration would be more fitting for your career goals.  And, I would recommend getting a minor in international marketing or foreign language or something like that as well (to boost the international emphasis for your schooling).

Edit:

Public Administration is fairly similar to Business Administration (they both have economics, finance, and other business-type classes).  But, they differ greatly in how those functional areas weigh on organizational decision making.
