Need help on The Kite Runner?

I have to do a project to do on the kite runner: http://qhss.org/Portals/0/Admin/SUMMER%20ENGLISH%20ASSIGNMENT%20FOR%20INCOMING%209TH%20GRADERS.pdf so i read the book a few times, but i don't get the instructions or know any good themes. And can i also hav an example with the themes?

sigh.  this reminds me why i hate school.  anyway.

basically, you're writing three short essays.  "journal entries" my rear can.

in the first essay, you're going write an essay about how the relationship between the father and the son in the story influences how the the main character decides to either be loyal to someone, or betray said person.  (the like choice is the boy's friend, and the situation that occurred when he had to make that choice).  all the info you'll need to write the essay will be in chps 1-10

the second essay will be about how relationship between friends (either  the father and his friend, or the main character and his friend) influences on of the characters to make a bad (sin)ful choice, or a good (redemption) choice.

the third essay will probably be about the charecter's relationship with his friends (the new friends he met in the us) and how this led to redemption.  

answer each of the professor's question first, then cram it together into a short essay
