I live in Australia and I am a big fan of the Packers in the NFL. We never used to receive college football games over here until recently. I know the season has only just started and I am looking for a team to go for. I was wondering if someone could give me a few ideas of who are some of the best teams, great players and have a great history and fans. I am not restricted to any states or cities as I live overseas. Who should I go for and why? Most detailed answer will get the 10 points.

  3. Wisconsion Badgers

  4. Well, you could go with USC in Los Angeles.

You talk history? USC has several national titles.

USC is also known as "Tailback U(niversity)." This means that the team consistently churns out stellar running backs over the years. Most recently they've had Reggie Bush and Lendale White. This year, they have about four backs that would start on any other team in their league.

Finally, Pete Carroll promotes COMPETITION. Very few players (especially on offense) can take their playing time for granted. Carroll has managed to lure the best running backs in the nation to USC, where many of them get buried. He has three QBs. One of the QBs was a star first year player on another big time team, and he transferred to USC, where is now third on the depth chart. So if you like watching players strive to be their best against all odds, USC is the team for you.

Also, USC plays anybody. They will play national power Ohio State in two weeks. Make sure you tune into that game.

EDIT: Well, if you don't want to go with the most popular, but are looking for an exciting competitive team, I'd say go with Rutgers, Boise State, or Fresno State. All three are teams that will scrap with the big boys and some times win.

  5. Wisconsin Badgers

  6. bandwagon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. lsu because they just had a hurracane and are a good team to root for so root for them i do

  8. You should be a fan of the Michigan Wolverines. They may struggle this year because of the recent coaching change and the offense change to the Spread Offense, but Michigan has 9 National Championships, they have a great Freshman QB in Steven Threet, and a great Running Back in Sam McGuffie(a youtube legend, go to Youtube.com, search McGuffie Mixtape), and they have the most wins in NCAA Football History. This year is very likely to be a down year, which in Michigan terms is maybe 7-5. But, next year watch out for this team, as they could contend for a Championship.

Also, they are on National TV here in the US a lot, so they should be on TV in Australia a lot.

  9. keep it in the family and go with the Wisconsin Badgers.  This way, if you ever make it up here to see a Packer game, you can catch a Badger game while you are at it.  They are decent, respectable and though i am not a Badger fan, they have one h**l of a rockin crowd at Camp Randall.
