I have received an amazing opportunity to travel around the world for 3 1/2 months. I am taking part in adventures such as staying on a riverboat in the Amazon Rainforest, and sleeping in a hut and going on a safari in a South African game reserve. I am very excited, except I am very fearful of spiders. I know this is silly, and I did not want to miss these opportunities because of that fear, so I am going anyways, but think about what I may encounter often. In the rainforest, there will be tarantulas everywhere as well as anacondas. The other countries, such as South Africa, and even India and southern Asia will have these large spiders as well. I know it is a phobia and will not go away completely, but how can I talk some sense into myself? Do not include holding one or seeing one up close, I will have that chance on my trip... Just maybe a logical way to think about what I am facing and how to realize how irrational the fear is. Thank you for any help you can give
