I need help on loeising weight???

Well im 14

way 110 lbs.

and am only 5'1" and a half.

I really want to cut down on my legs. Dont say your skinny and stuff bc i think i do have a slender upper body

but the problem is I run and play soccer and most of my weight is muscle in my legs and i look (to me) dispaportionite.

Also whenever i ry to work out to lose weight I end up getting bulkier.

Do u know of any excersizes i could do without bulking up and dont need any high tech things i have to buy. Thx!!

  1. work out on your upper body so your legs wont look so big

  2. Losing weight will not help you at all; in fact, at only 110 lbs, that could create major health issues. However, you have pinpointed what the "problem" is, and it's that the types of exercise you get most are guaranteed to build up the muscles in your legs. (Truly, I doubt you look all the disproportionate; we women ten to magnify what we consider to be flaws, so I PROMISE your friends don't see the same 'problem' you do. But I know you won't listen to that. That's another problem we women have, lol. ;o)  )

You're going to have to change your workout. If you do any weight lifting, change your routine to lifting low weight at high reps. Weight bearing exercises (like lunges and squats) will also encourage muscle growth (though they are great exercises for building shape and strength.) Start some Pilates or ballet classes, or get some DVDs; those are forms of exercise that improve your range of motion and help you stretch. You'll want to do them at least three times a week.

Based on how long you've been playing soccer/running, it may take a long time to get to the point you want to be, but if done regularly, you should start to see some results within 3-4 months. Also, the suggestion of building up your upper body is really good. Start with some arm and shoulder dumbell exercises and do those 3-4 times a week.

And get some honest feedback from some friends you trust as to whether you really have the problem you think you do! I bet you're lovely. :o)

  3. Your legs are bigger because of the muscle that you're building up playing soccer. And obviously, working out will only make them bigger. Don't work out your legs as much. Apart from soccer and walking, don't do any exercise that involves your legs.

  4. If you feel disportioned, then just build up the muscle in your upper body. (Crunches, sit ups, weights.)

  5. Your legs are big from muscle as you know. and muscle weighs more than fat. Im 14 and a dancer and i have strong leg muscles.

    Walking helps loose weight

    Lots of it

  6. If you feel you are too muscular in your legs and feel disproportional  then build up the muscles in your upper body.
