Need help on picking out new camera!! =))?

Question

Hey, I'm planning on getting a new camera before school hits again. Any recommends? =)

My budget you can say is around--$150-250ish?? x)

The Canon A590IS fits well into that budget.  It's an 8 MP camera with a 4X zoom and optical image stabilization.  It's pretty feature rich.

If you want something a little more compact, the Sony DSC-W line has many options, all varying in Megapixel and optical zoom.  Many fit within that price range.

i think the Sony's color of picture is sharp. it is better for you. and you can find it anywhere.

I got a Nikon, and it's really good. I found it by going to myproductadvisor, a neat website.

Find either a Nikon Coolpix or Cannon Powershot model in your price range.  You can almost not go wrong with either brand.  These companies know how to make cameras.  I'd also suggest buying extra memory with your new camera.  The one that comes with will only have enough space for about 10 pics.  I'd get at least 1GB.

I have had experience with Canon, Fuji, and Olympus cameras.  I would highly recommend a Canon camera.  The quality and options of most of their camera is well worth the price.  There are two important options to look at when reviewing cameras.  First is resolution.  The higher the # of megapixels, the better the resolution.  You should be able to get an 7-10 megapixel camera in your price range.  Another option to look at is the type of zoom.  Pick a camera with the highest magnification with an optical zoom.  The optical zoom is made by physically moving the lenses of the camera to magnify the image.  Most cameras also offer a digital zoom, in addition to the optical zoom.  A digital zoom is made by using the camera's on-board processing software to enlarge a section of the image.  This does not preserve the normal resolution and may appear grainy on larger pictures.  Hope this helps!
