Need help pickin a car?

I want to buy a car but I don't know much about them.

I want a starter car, nothing fancy, I just want something that's safe and saves up on gas

Get a Honda Civic.

Honda had the fewest complaints by customers and has a great reputation on reliability.  And the Civic gets great gas mileage.

if your going for brand new then try the saturns, if looking used then go volkswagons or mazdas, we have a 02' cavalier that we paid $1000 bucks for in great condition to drive just in the winter, thats a good little car

I work for a mechanic, he always says that the Honda Civic is the best car for the money, even the old ones.  Good Luck!!
