Question:

Need help picking wedding music...?

We have a stringed trio playing at the ceremony, and I am walking down the isle to Canon in D. I can't make a decision on the processional OR recessional music.

I love kind of old school 70's stuff...Jim Croce, Bob Seger, James Taylor...

AND

My father passed when I was very young so I will be having a mother/daughter dance at the reception and I can't decide on a song for that either! We used to sing "That's my Job" by Conway Twitty to each other when I was younger and I love the song, but I think that might be a bit too much of a tear jerker! Any Suggestions?

  1. Here are some great sites that can help you choose both ceremony and reception music:

    http://www.myweddingmusic.com/Music/Proc...

    http://www.ourweddingsongs.com/

    http://www.wedalert.com/songs/

Also since your mother has passed the song is a dedication, rather than a mother daughter dance.  Otherwise you may confuse people.

I think that is a great idea, you should have a framed picture of her too!  I'm sure you will find the perfect song!

    Good luck!

  2. I think a tear jerker is perfect for a mother/daughter dance I say.  It's an emotional time.  Sorry I can't help with the other questions.

  3. George Jones,The Temptations,Bob Marley,Elvis,Kool and the gang,Sister Sledge

  4. try this site

    www.wedalert.com

they have many dances and songs broken into catagories for you.

  5. Awww but we like tear jerkers. Try the following, some Beatles, some other things that are very 60s and 70s:

    Across the Universe- The Beatles

Here Comes the Sun- The Beatles

    There She Goes- The Cranberries

Moon River- Audrey Hepburn (don't mock me, I'm all for rock, but it's so adorable)...

Just go with those type of things. Good luck.
