Need help quick for dinner tonight!

i just found out my GF roasing machine doesnt hold a 6 pound chicken so now i have to find another way to make it. Any ideas on roasting a chicken in the oven?

  1. You could get creative and stuff herbs between the skin and the breast meat, but that's not really necessary. If you have a fresh lemon, you could quarter it and put it and some herbs into the cavity of the bird. Season the outside and shove it in the oven. Bake until the internal temperature reaches 165F.

  2. Wash the chicken well

    You could make stuffing for it if you're real ambitious, or just use a box of stovetop and put it in the cavity...it tastes almost as good as homemade.

    If you don't want to go the stuffing route, squeeze a lemon over the chicken and put the halves inside the cavity (helps chicken stay moist) or you could use an orange; sprinkle with salt and pepper..bake in 350 oven for 3 hours at least....most of those big chickens have that silly popout thing when its supposed to be done, but I always go at least 45 minutes after that...I like my chicken to fall off the bone...

  3. Just put it in a roast pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper, dot with butter and roast at 325 for about 3 hrs. or less.
