Need help recruiting Jirachi in pokemon mystery dungeons explorers of darkness.?

I've tried to recruit Jirachi like 20 times but every time i find him i defeat it without it wanting to join my team. But every time i go into the Final maze with my Mew as leader who has the fast friend iq skill i can't find Jirachi. I NEED HELP! PLZ!
