Need help running?

hey everyone i am working on getting in shape for the field hocky season but i am having trouble being motivated. i ran today and i stopped i became mad because i gave up. how stay motivated and not give up? i want to make this team more than anyone in the world!

  1. run around your block, because then if you want to stop, you have to keep running to get home.


  2. Set specific goals for yourself each time you run. Dont make your goals to dramatic. Start of with something like running for half a mile without stoping. That way when you meet your goal you will be motivated to meet another one.

  3. put one foot in front of the other. it's kind of like walking, except quickly, and use your arms.

  4. Just run hard and if you feel like stopping think what it will feel like to not make the team.

  5. Try running with an iPod . This helped me soooo much. If you listen to some up-tempo songs and turn it up loud ,you'll kind of forget that you are running beacause you are listening to the music! works for me- hope it works for you too!
