Need help searching for used cars?

am trying to buy a (used car), i have roughly $5000 to spend and i need help finding where to search. any great suggestions? ive tried autotrader, where else should i look?? online or offline doesnt matter. thanks!

Try your local newspaper.  Good job on looking around and not just going to dealer.  You'll get a better car for your money buying from a private seller.  Also if you have a model in mind you can try some forums for that car and see if there is a classified section and find someone near you.
