I have tried Tylenol pm, Xanax, everything..yet I stay up for hours. I am not sure what is wrong with me. I just feel like there are not enough hours in a day, so I stay up all night. I do random thing and tasks and try to organize my brain and life. I never get more than about 6 hours a night and I am 19 years old with a full time job right now. sooo tired..how do I shut off my mind?

  1. There are sleep centers where they monitor you during a nights sleep.  This can be done at the center or you can take the monitor home where it records the data while you sleep.  This data is analyzed and a treatment plan is made for you.  The first thing you  try may not work for you.  Dietary changes, habits altered, or even medication may be the solution for you.  But getting a good nights sleep again will be worth it in the long run. Or just lay off the Meth.

  2. u could try and take showers that helps including warm milk and try to not watch tv it can keep u up for hours try doing something boring oh and the internet can too

  3. it MIGHT be like a ''mini jet lag''

meaning you always stay up really late so your body is used to it or something

try not sleepin at all on a free day , then going to sleep at the right time

  4. I have insomnia,so i have a very hard time sleeping.I went to the Doctor and he gave me medicine to help me fall asleep. You should make an appointment with your doctor to.

  5. I totally just overcame this situation myself

Finally, just stayed up for an entire day/night in order to get my schedule fixed ~ it was HORRIBLE

  6. Have you tried a holistic practitioner?  I've had sleep issues my entire life.  My brain wants to run and run and run while my body is crying out for sleep.  Guess who wins.

I started working with an acupuncturist about a year ago.  We identified a number of imbalances in my system.  Unknown food allergies played a major part.  I've had to make dietary changes and take supplements to become rebalanced.  As a result I'm a lot more stable than I've ever been.  I'm also able to sleep without heavy medication.

Western medicine doesn't have all the answers.  Nobody does. :)

  7. idk, but i'm having the same problem...i'm 15
