Need help solving for d?

3d-xd+2y/d+3/2=0

i've tried like a dozen time but i can't figure out how to get the d by itself when there is one in the denominator.

  1. I think that the solution is to multiply the whole by d.

    3d^2-xd^2+2y+3d/2=0

    now use the ax^2+bx+c formula to solve d.

    (3+x)*d^2 + 3/2*d + 2y = 0

    This is like a*d^2 + b*d + c

    with

    a = (3+x)

    b= 3/2

    c= 2*y
