  1. Run atleast 5 or 6 miles every day. I do that and I have all the records in my middle school. Do 1 hard workout every week like run 300 meters all out. Do atleast 6 of them with a 1:30 minute rest. That will toughen you up and it will help you give it all youv'e got at the end. Swim half a mile after you run. Also ride your bike a lot because it gets you faster in sprinting. Do a stair master like 2 or 3 times a week. 1 other thing on your runs go on a hilly course 2-3 times a week and that will get you stronger. Good Luck! I think you will.

  2. email me for program

    on-line coaching

  3. hey, genius. multiply 4 by 6:40.

    that get's you 26:40

  4. I was in your position at one time.

Run the last 300m in the meets with all you got. Sprint as fast as you can...

  5. Keep trying to run the time faster.

    That's it.

Wow, that was tough to figure out.

  6. yes! everyday you need to run for at least an hour or go jogging to keep ur pace and um.. eat right okk? i am a track star from chabot college and this works i broke 3 records

  7. if you want to increase speed do plyometrics. these help train your fast-twitch muscle fibers. also run more than a mile, ever day. since you are training to do the 1600m, maybe 2-3 miles @ 6:00 min pace for hard days. and 4 miles @ 10 min pace for easy days. also do strides, which mimic sprinting motions, but are at a normal running pace, to help train your muscles.
