Need help to find out about my grandmas doll she has no markings and is made out of a type of metal?

the only thing my mom can remeber is that my grandma got it shiped to her by her father when she was young.And he was away at the war.The doll is some kind of metal and has moveable joints.She is painted and about 12 inches long.I have tryed to look up metal dolls but all i get is tin doll parts or dolls with tin heads and some other kind of body.She is all made of the same thing.
