Need help to get a grant but i do not have a job and i need to pay my bills? What do i do??

What do i do i need to pay my rent and my bills and i do not have a job trying to get one but i am in the middle of trying to get my children back from the state and it is hard to get a job so what do i do i need money now???

First if you are not registered with your state employment service register there for help finding a job.   This does 3 things: helps increase your chances of work, provides concrete evidence to the state that you are trying, and meets one of the eligibility requirements for food stamps.  

Second call your local United Way and see if they have an information and referral service that can tell you places in your local area to get help. If they do not look in the yellow pages for social service agencies and also for churches and call the likely possibilities.  No one place will meet all your needs but you may be able to put together enough different sources to stay housed and keep lights on.  Also ask each place you contact if they know any places you can get a job.

Ask your landlord if there is work you can do to earn part of your rent, maybe cleaning places where someone has moved out, paintomg or fix up, lawn care.

I don't know your skills or background but best places to get work fast are usually convelescent homes for laundry and cleaning (and ask if you can take part in next CNA class which will get you a good skill that helps get many jobs), and fast food,  

Check with your local tech school and see if they have any programs for job training that include fnancial aid for living expenses.  If they do check with your caseworker and any PO who may be involved and see if this will meet your work requiirements.

Will the children's father help at all to have a stable home for them?

There are lots of ads for books and CD's about grants but sadly a lot of them are rip offs and even the valid ones the grants take a long time to get.
