.15 engine on it Dolphin Nitro RC Hydro Sport Boat. I can get it running but cannot keep it running, I think it might be because there are air bubbles in the fuel line going into the carb. Ive tried blowing them out but they keep on coming back. And also I have the lean and rich s***w turned out for times, is that about right for a brand new engine? Any suggestions???

  1. Maybe someone in the hobby category would be better suited to answer this ... You shouldn't be getting bubbles if the clunk is properly attached in the tank. Be sure that there are no breaks or holes in the fuel line.  Also ... if it is a new motor .. you should have a manual that tells you the initial settings and adjustments. Try looking up the motor online in the manufacturers website.

  2. You shouldn't have bubbles.  You are sure that:

    the fuel lines are good

    the fuel tank is sealed

the fuel tank is almost full

the fuel tank pickups are set properly

the line from the muffler to the tank is clear and tight

If this is ok then you shouldn't have to worry about having bubbles.

I have a .90 motor in my 55" Dumas and I have to run about 3.5-4 turns on my Velocity Stack carb as well.

Usually when you have to richen it up is because you have too much air running through and not enough fuel.  I would take the carb off and make sure that it is COMPLETELY clean.  A small little fiber can s***w up the tunning.

Are you running an OS engine?  The are usually pretty easy to tune and like the guy said before me maybe check with them or the local hobbie shop.  Or check with funrcboats.com they are really good guys there.  I have used them numerous times since they specialize in boats.

    Good luck
