i accidentally bought RG-59, which is 75 ohms, as opposed to 50 as suggested. now i assume i could use the 59 and solder it to the 75 ohm impedance point on the stub but i dont know where that is. is my assumation correct? if so how can i find the 75 ohm impedance point to connect the coax to? if i'm worng, then what do i do? btw-i ca still go and buy some rg58 i that is the easiest thing. Thanks and God Bless you!

  1. you can use rg59, it is not that far off in SWR from rg58. I use RG11 (75 Ohm -RG8 size) on VHF and UHF without problems. Just that RG11 has a lower loss per foot than does RG8!

FYI, since LB passed away, the LB Cebik web site is now open. I would suggest that you read his work.
