My neighbor said i could use her internet if i wanted to so i went and got a little belkin router. Her computer is old and has no ethernet port in the back. Her connection is from the modem thru the USB. How can i get her computer and my computer to use the internet at the same time. The routher has no usb ports on it. Can her computer be hooked to the modem thru usb and then the routher hooked thru the ethernet port?

  1. here is what you do.  purchase an ethernet board for her pc.  Install it.

connect her pc to the belkin wifi router and configure the belkin to work with her modem.

then set up the wifi so you can access it.

feel free to email me if you have more questions.

    good luck

  2. no

you need to connect her modem to a wifi router.

then connect her computer with a ethernet cable (buy her a usb ethernet cable, about $30).

then connect your computer to her wifi router with a usb wifi card.

    total cost about $100.
