Need help w/ saving a picture in Word so I can upload?

Need help w/ saving a picture in Microsoft Word so I can upload onto places like ebay and craigslist. I did it one other time and now I cannot remember how I saved it on there. I have the picture on microsoft word (my only choice) and now it will not upload the picture. What format do I save it as to do so? Thank you ahead of time.
