I have 2 of these subs http://www.americanproaudio.com/vs-14xx.html.I want to know how to wire my subs for 2 ohm...right now I have them hooked up on separate channels.the subs hit hard with the volume on full blast but my front and rear speakers get all distorted when i turn the volume up that high..I figure if I can get more power to the subs they will be hitting hard when the head unit is tuned down low, that way my other speakers don't have to be working sooo hard...

  1. first off u need a amp that has 600 rms at one ohm or 4 ohms...u will be better off getting a one ohm amplifier....ur subs push 600 rms together and ur amp is only 80 x 2 at 4 ohms and 130 x 2 at 2 ohms and u probably only have them at 4 ohms so u r only giving ur subs 160 rms of power....those subs can only be wired to 4 ohms and one ohm...not 2 ohms and u still wouldnt get no where near the power u need...the only way u can get two 4 ohm subs to 2 ohms is to wire them to 4 ohms and them bridge ur amp which i dont even think that amp is bridgeable.......that cant even power one of ur subs anyway still.....thats y its doing that.....go to onlinecarstereo.com and find a one ohm amp at 600 rms and u will be good...get either a mtx audio, rockford fosgate, kicker or a jl audio to get good performance...i guarantee u that u give ur subs the right power they will hit hard..ill give u a site to know how to wire them to ur new amp ...good luck
