Need help with Caramel recipes?!?

Question

Trying to find a good recipe to make caramel apples or a dipping sauce, I can't make one with those little individually wrapped candies cause believe it or not they have milk in them, and I keep finding recipes but they have like whipped cream and I can't whip soy milk, trying to make a treat for little sister whos never tasted caramel cause of her food allergies =)

Lactose free Caramel

Ingredients

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup rich non-dairy coffee creamer (full strength, do not water down)

2 tablespoons dairy-free margarine (Fleishmans unsalted is recommended)

Directions

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, sugar, creamer and margarine.

Bring to a boil over moderate heat while stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.

Use in place of your favorite caramel sauce.
