Question:

Need help with Firefox...?

I just downloaded the new version of Firefox. The thing had no problem installing and afterward I got the message "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade for Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?". So I did...and when I came back on it gave me the same message. Bamboozled, I restarted it two more times. Then I reinstalled it (off of IE) and I still got the same message. I tried to remove it from the "Add or Remove Programs" thing in the control panel and got the same message there.

So...any suggestions?

Thanks a lot... ><"

  1. Firefox is experiencing some technical malfunctions just now. just a few days ago, my Firefox just rabidly started to crash, every time i right click on a word to show the dictionary. also previous upgrades and installations, just keep using Firefox until it eventually normalizes, install an old version, if you have one, download it again and install. sometimes the installer gets left behind the temporary internet files, and firefox confuses the installed versions.

also firefox needs several restarts to begin with, i believe mine is 4-5 times. but you dont need to restart ASAP, coz more updates will be downloaded and then more restarts are required ... that is all.

  2. Thats really strange, I installed the new version this morning and had no problem. Have you tried clicking "restart later" instead of "restart now" and restarting it manualy? Mabe you have firefox or some other window up thats preventing you from doing it? Sometimes I can get a simaler problem with other programs and it works when I close all of my windows down.

  3. I get pc help from http://www.pchelpdoc.com

Just follow some of the links you'll

    Definately get some help there!

    Goodluck!
