Need help with Golf Camp?

I'm doing a mini-camp for some local kids(ages 10-14). I'm wondering if you have any ideas for drills that would be useful. Also I need to know where I can buy Range Balls. Low cost but in good condition is what I need. Any help is well appreciated.

  1. try to buy the balls from a local golf course or driving range.  Just make up games for them to play while hitting.  Into a pool or bucket of water . Kids like to see golf balls hit the water.  Chipping or putting contest with a prize.  Good luck

  2. With regards to cheap golf balls, I have found an online golf store that sells used golf balls. They are a trusted and well known store and their used golf balls come with the following description:

"Triple AAA grade Mix used golf balls are like new. These high quality recycled balls look, feel, and play like new. They have a consistent brand label, color, and shine. Very minor surface scratches and imperfections are possible. Corporate, team, or tournament logos may be included in the mix, unless noted."

The cheapest I found was for Top Flite mixed model golf balls. They sell for $17.99 for 5 dozen, which works out at only $3.60 the dozen. See the link at the bottom.

For golf drills, a par-3 competition with some sort of prize is always good to maintain the kids focus. I agree with an answer from above, that having them try to land the ball in water is great fun. Maybe a fairly large inflatable pool - say 8 to 10 feet in diameter - could be used. Have the kids try pitching from different distances, starting of from maybe 30 yards and then moving further back each time.

  3. Put out hulla hoops and have them try to get in in the hoop.
