Need help with MLB 08 the show!!?

I don't play baseball neither watch it....i don't know why, but i should. My friend just gave this game to me for my HBD, and i have a few questions.

These are regarding when i "create a player"

1. In the pitching attributes, what does H/9, HR/9, K/9, BB/9 mean?

2. Also when ure editing something for a certain pitch (eg. 4 seam FB), does "break" make the pitcher better or worse?

H/9 means how many hits does the pitcher gives up per 9 innings. Increase the slider to the right to make the pitcher better.

HR/9 means how many Home runs  the pitcher gives up per 9 innings. Increase the slider to the right to make the pitcher better.

K/9 means how many Strikeouts the pitcher gets per 9 innings. Increase the slider to the right to make the pitcher better.

BB/9 means how many walks the pitcher gives up per 9 innings. Increase the slider to the right to make the pitcher better.

The more the break the better, it creates movement and its harder for the hitters to catch up to it.

1.   H/9,HR/9,K/9, and BB/9 mean how many hits, home runs, strike outs, and walks you what you're pitcher to give up. Basically you want them all low besides for K/9 (strike outs).

2.   Break, does not make the pitcher better or worse. Break means the balls movement. Example: If you' re a righty and you want to throw a cutter you want the ball to break and head downward and in for a lefty batter. That movement on the ball down,away,up is called break.
