Need help with Metric Units???!!! Please its confusing!!!?

Well my teacher didnt give any examples and this is my first time starting the Metric Unit!

We need to find objects that are labeled with a metric unit!

Then we need to know what the metric unit is and what the English unit is?

Please explan where the metric unit will be located on the object or product, and what is the English unit????

  1. Go to the kitchen and look at the labels on your food.  Net weight will be in pounds or ounces (English) with the metric equivalent in parentheses.  My Rice Krispies box says Net Wt. 12 oz. (340g).  All your food will have similar labels.

    In fact, everything in a package or can will have both measurements.  My can of paint thinner says "16 Fl. Oz. (One Pint) .473 Liter".  That's 2 English and 1 metric measurements on one item.  

    Some will be weights (pounds, ounces, grams), some will be volumes (quarts, gallons, ounces, liters).
