  1. Make a "Skype Test Call" to the Skype Echo server.  Record you voice on the echo server and listen to it play back.  Do this to confirm for yourself that your mic audio is low or not working.

    Go to Skype Options Settings:

    Tools--> Options--> Audio Settings

    Make sure the Microphone is set to maximum.

    Also check your setting at:

    Start--> Control Panel--> Sounds and Audio Devices

    USB headsets with built-in microphones usually give the best audio quality.  I use the Plantronics DSP-400 and DSP-500 USB headsets with Skype with very good results.

  2. go under tools / audio settings and make sure u have the mic selected

  3. its probably because the mic is damaged or has dust in it, (maybe its old)

    just take it out and use another mic from your ipod or mp3 or get a new one.
